SÍ, SOMOS UNA PAREJA INTERRACIAL

Recuerdo que algunas personas en México, me decían: "¿Te vas a casar con un gringo?  ¿No que eres muy nacionalista?  Tu prometido está mas pálido que nada." Todo tipo de comentarios, negativos como positivos. Pero la verdad no era novia de Ryan porque él fuera norteamericano o porque estuviera en busca de la "green card". Me casé con él porque se ganó mi corazón por medio de su buen humor, amistad, ternura, inteligencia y su amor a Dios. Y por supuesto porque para mí él es guapísimo. Nos casamos y nos convertimos en una pareja interracial. Por medio de la creación de este blog quiero compartir la aventura de ser latina casada con un norteamericano, los retos culturales y el amor que sobrepasa idioma y color.

I remember that some people in México used to say to me: "You're going to marry a gringo?  I thought you were a nationalist?  Your fiance is pale as can be."  All kinds of comments, negative and positive.  But the truth is, I wasn’t Ryan's girlfriend because he is American or because I was looking for a "green card." I married him because he won my heart through his humor, friendship, kindness, intelligence and love of God. And of course because to me he is very handsome.  We got married and became an interracial couple. Through the creation of this blog I want to share the adventure of being Latina and married to an American, as well as the cultural challenges and love that surpasses language and color.
